SANDRA “SANDY” SMITH BUTLER, 83, of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully at her home on March 13, 2024. She was born March 14, 1940, in Wheeling, WV to the late Charles and Geneva Emerson Smith. She retired from Bethany college where she worked in the business office. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. “Bob” Butler and her grandson James “JR” Butler. Sandy is survived by a son, Ronald C. Butler (fiancé Paula) and a daughter, Robin McGowan (David), all of Wellsburg, WV; five grandchildren: Christina Butler-Baker (Michael)Tyler Burriss (Ashley), Ian and Brandi Murphy, and Reese Clevenger; thirteen great grandchildren: Evan and Aaron, Bentley, Abigail Baker, Hannah Burriss, Claire Brown, Carson, Paisley, Savannah Butler, Eli, Novah, Lunah Murphy, and Winnie Murphy on the way. Visitation took place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 until the time of the service, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Interment followed at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Wellsburg.
