Allen Roger Negri

ALLEN ROGER NEGRI, 62, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born on March 11, 1962, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Paul Arnold and Mary Rose (Silver) Negri. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Oxier-Negri. They had two daughters, Ash Leigh Negri and Macey Negri (Matt Tluchowski). He had four siblings, the late Arnold (Barb Mastroanni) Negri, surviving Tim and Carla (Negri) Morris, half brother and sister; the late James and the late Charlene (Price) Ennis; and nieces and nephews Bryan and Alyssa Negri, Ian and Zac Morris, Tammy (Price) Reichle and James (Henreitta) Price. He graduated from Brooke High School Class of 1981 and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1981-1984. He worked at Duquesne University in the Facilities Management Department with 19+ years of service and he was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Follansbee. Big Al was a faithful husband to his wife, loving father to his daughters, and a loyal friend to all. The family remains forever grateful for the love, support and random acts of kindness bestowed upon them for the past few years. They would not have been able to walk down this road with him, without the help and generosity of the community. Pancreatic Cancer slowly took his capacity to walk, talk and lead but never took his capacity to love his children, family, and friends. The family is lost without him, but will carry the torch of his unyielding empathy for everyone forward, from this day onward. His passion was his family, gardening with his father, and traveling with his wife, family, and friends. He loved his faithful dog, Dallas. He enjoyed fishing and a good bottle of wine while watching the sun set on Lake Erie. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Visitation for Allen was held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 until the time of the funeral Liturgy of the Word, with Father Gerald Mouka officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made in memory of Allen to UPMC Hillman Cancer, 5115 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232 or the Pancreatic Research Fund, 2990 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Suite 300C, Los Angeles, CA 90064.
