David W. Barnhart

DAVID W. BARNHART, a beloved husband, proud father, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1954 to the late James E. Barnhart and Doris (Willis)Barnhart. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Janice (Barnhart) Wilson. David grew up in New Cumberland, WV. Graduating from Oak Glen High School class of “73” where he excelled academically, especially in mathematics and statistics. He retired from Cleavland Cliffs Weirton (formerly Weirton Steel, ISG, and Mittal Steel) after 48 years of employment. David will be remembered by those who knew him for his sense of humor and his gift of gab, his generosity, and his willingness to help those in need when he could, whether they be friends or strangers. Left to cherish his memory are his “three girls” as he affectionately referred to them: his wife of 48 years, Pamela (Stevens) Barnhart of Follansbee, WV, and his greatest accomplishments, two daughters, Eve Barnhart of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Tess Barnhart of Morgantown, WV; sisters, Linda (Lonnie)Stockdale of Chester, WV and Lorrain Barnhart of Plymouth, Indiana; and his best friend and brother he never had, Mike Barber. At the request of David, there were no services. A celebration of life was held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
