Elaine Raveaux Ferrari

ELAINE RAVEAUX FERRARI of Weirton, WV died peacefully on April 8, 2024, at Wyngate of Weirton. She was the daughter of Leon and Finesia Cervi Raveaux. Mrs. Ferrari was a graduate of Weir High School, West Virginia University, and the University of Pittsburgh. She was a teacher at Weir High School, a charter member, and the first elected president of the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Society for outstanding women educators, being honored in 2016 for her service and 50-year membership in the sorority. Mrs. Ferrari was a 50-year member of Cove Presbyterian Church and funding chair at Paris Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George B. Ferrari on January 18, 2013. Her parents and infant brother Leonard. Survivors include nephews, David L. (Luanne) Ferrari of Weirton, and Dorin (Kathy) Ferrari of Las Vegas, NV., and a niece Dorene Zanke of Bellaire, OH. plus, many cousins. Friends were received Thursday, April 11, 2024 until the time of the service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating. Interment followed in Paris Cemetery.
