Irene Molchan

IRENE MOLCHAN, 93, of Weirton, WV died April 4, 2024, at the Golden Oaks Nursing Home. She was born October 12, 1931, in Weirton, the daughter of the late John and Marta Telmanik Molchan. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, and George Molchan, three sisters, Julia Molchan, Anna Decker and Marie Makowski, brothers-in-law, Carl Decker and Henry Makowski and niece, Denise Decker. Irene retired from C & P Telephone Company and was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. She is survived by one sister Pauline Molchan of Weirton: four nephews, James E. Decker, John C (Luann) Decker, Richard Decker from New Cumberland, WV and Henry Makowski of Texas, niece Dr. Judy K. (Dale) Vincent from Hawaii and several great nieces, nephews and a great-great niece. Friends were received Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton. Funeral services were held Monday, April 8, 2024 at the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, with Father Andrew P. Nelko officiating. Interment followed in St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Weirton.
