William “Bill” E. Colley, Jr.

WILLIAM “BILL” E. COLLEY, JR., 76, of Wellsburg, WV passed away April 8, 2024, at home. He was born October 6, 1947, in Steubenville, OH to the late William E. and Mary Ida Givens Colley, Sr. He was a cook at Country Haven Nursing Home, Wellsburg Colt Football Coach, Wellsburg Little League and a member of the Brooke Football Boosters and the Homeward Bound Gospel Singing Group. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his tow daughters, Diana Colley, Lisa Colley Briggs; two sisters, Norma May Queen and Renee Crawford; and a granddaughter, Jessica. He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Lazear Colley; two sons, William “Billy” P. Colley and John P. Hendrickson (Denise) all of Wellsburg, WV; four daughters: Judy Michael, Wendy Colley both of Follansbee, WV, Heather Huff (Clark) of Wellsburg, and Karen V. Hendrickson; three brothers: Richard Colley (Karen) of Florida, Rodney Colley (Cheryl) of Weirton, WV, and Tom Green (Dorothy) of Wellsburg; a sister, Christine Huff of NC; fifteen grandchildren, the apple of his eye: Angela, Anthony, Joseph, Arri, Roman, Justin, Laura, Aimee, Brandon, Mark, Kaleigh, Danielle, Haleigh, Rachel, and Christian; and grandparent of many foster children; six great grandchildren: Brandon Jr., Ezrael, Roman, Finn, Micah, Norma Jean; and sever other great grandchildren. There was no visitation. A memorial service will take place at the convenience of the family at the Riverview Baptist Church, Wellsburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Reasner Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
