Rosemary Stillson

ROSEMARY STILLSON, 81, of Colliers, WV, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Rosemary was born on January 3, 1943 in Weirton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Perley Underwood and DeEtta (Spencer) Underwood. Rosemary retired from Weirton Steel in the Tin Mill and as a bus driver for the Brooke County School System. Many will remember Rosemary for her love of country and bluegrass music and her perfect sewing ability. In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her first husband, James J. Shiflett; second husband, Michael A. Stillson; two sons, Michael A. Stillson and Rocco P. Stillson; three brothers, Lawrence, Robin and Joseph Underwood; and a sister, Deanna Riter. Rosemary is survived by her two children, James E. Shiflett and his wife, Barbara of Colliers, WV and Matthew Stillson and his fiancé, Shannon Lewis of Waverly, WV; five grandchildren: James M Shiflett, Matthew C. Stillson, Katelin Stillson, Alicia Vansickel and her husband, Brandon and Nicholas R. Stillson and his wife, Dr. Lauren; two great grandsons, Carson and Caiden Vansickel; a brother, Perley Edward Underwood of St. Clairsville, OH; two sisters-in-law, Janice and Elaine Underwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 until the time of the funeral service at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Minister Rick Tinsky officiating.
