Robert Albert “Bob” Lorello

ROBERT ALBERT “BOB” LORELLO, a resolute family man, and hard worker, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Valley Hospice Care Center North. Born on August 16, 1933, in Hollidays Cove, Bob was one of three children born to Albert Lorello and Catherine Cosenza Lorello. Bob’s work ethic was unparalleled, dedicating over fifty years of his life to Catrell Motor Company, where he retired as their esteemed body shop manager. Even during his vacation days, he tirelessly lent his skills to James White Construction for over sixteen years. His love for work was matched only by his commitment to providing for his family, a trait that defined his character. Beyond the demands of his career, Bob found solace and joy in his garage, where he spent countless hours restoring classic cars. His passion for automotive craftsmanship led him to showcase his masterpieces at car shows throughout the Ohio Valley and Pittsburgh area. Upon retirement, Catrell Motors honored Bob with their wrecker, which he meticulously restored and proudly displayed, earning recognition and awards at various car exhibitions. Bob was known for his fair-mindedness, unwavering honesty, and devout faith as a Roman Catholic. His knack for fixing broken items, coupled with his marvelous sense of humor, endeared him to all who knew him. He cherished moments spent traveling to Myrtle Beach, particularly relishing the opportunity to exhibit his beloved ’51 Ford at car shows. As a NASCAR fan, Bob found joy and camaraderie through his involvement in his antique car club, where he formed lasting friendships. Bob Lorello leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by his loved ones, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his infant sister, Eve Lorello. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marguerite Ellen Davis Lorello whom he married on Saturday, February 7, 1953, sons Tony ( Debbie) Lorello and Timothy (Lisa) Lorello all of Weirton, daughter Cathy Lorello of Burgettstown, brother Thomas (Nancy) Lorello of Weirton, grandchildren Bobbi Lorello, Chrissy (Regis) Marucci, Michael, Brooklynn, and Vanessa Lorello, great-grandchildren, Bailey Lorello, Rocco and Enzo Marucci, along with several nieces and nephews.
