ROBERT EDGAR “BOB” FINSLEY, 66, of Weirton, WV died peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Trinity West in Steubenville, OH. He was born on July 24, 1957, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Robert and Vera Finsley. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was Christian by faith. He was a coal miner for Valley Camp and later Windsor Coal. He enjoyed racing motocross and hunting in his earlier years. Bob is survived by two sons, Sean (Tracey) Finsley of Weirton, WV and Robert E. Finsley, Jr. of Knox, PA; six siblings: Sharon Watson, Greg Finsley, Cindy Ostrosky, Lynn (Edward) Jones, Marykay (Dale) Adams, and Mark (Tris) Finsley; four grandchildren, Tanner, Sienna, Toby, and Garrett; his best friend who was like a brother, Mike (Trish) Sweat of Weirton, WV; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation was held Sunday, April 28, 2024 until the time of the funeral service, with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately. Full military honors were conducted by the Ohio Valley Veteran Memorial Squad and the United States Navy.
