Thomas “Tom” Edward Bludis

THOMAS (TOM) EDWARD BLUDIS, son of the late Paul J. Sr and Mary A. (Ocel) Bludis and brother of the late Paul J. Jr, died on Saturday, April 27, 2024 after a brave struggle with liver cancer. Born March 2, 1954, Tom’s wild youth belied his loving, friendly and good-natured heart. Happiest when riding his Harley, Tom loved the biker life. A man of many talents, Tom was a gifted mechanic who enjoyed working on his own and friends bikes, cars and trucks and helping others with projects ranging from laying concrete to installing heating and a/c systems. Though private by nature Tom had a knack for putting others at ease. He welcomed conversation with everyone, was quick with a joke and enjoyed getting people to laugh. In addition to all who called him friend, Tom will be most dearly missed by his daughters, Aimee Bludis and Jennifer Skinner; his grandchildren, Joshua Kolling and Mason and Makenna Skinner; and his sister, Denise Bludis. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, at which time a motorcade of family and friends will begin to Thomas’ Graveside Service at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH. Following the interment, the family will welcome friends at Mustang Sally, Follansbee, to continue to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to his daughters to be put toward the Motorcyclist Memorial Foundation in honor of Tom and his brother Paul, or make donations in Tom’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
