RAYMOND ALLAN “HOODY” HOOD, 53, of Columbus, OH died peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in Riverside Methodist Hospital. Ray was born on June 2, 1970, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Donald “Don” and Victoria “Vicki” Hood. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Stacy Hood; and a brother in law Douglas Lamp. Ray graduated from Brooke High School in 1988. He was employed by the former Ball Corporation for 33+ years. In his spare time Ray loved to play golf, and follow all sports, he also enjoyed traveling with his wife. He loved most spending time with all his family especially the “littles” as he called his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Misty (Mains) Hood at home; three children: Alan Hood, Taylor (Justin) Gray, and Anthony Hood; three grandchildren: Piper, Violet, and Layne; a sister-in-law, Shaylan Lamp; one nephew, Jeffrey (Kelli) Rine; three nieces: Jenna (Garrett) Hinkle, Courtney (Josh) Mamula, and Dominique (Tanner) Witty; great nieces and nephews: Bella, Maverick, Reed, Rory, Carter, and Carsyn; and several cousins. Visitation for Ray was held on Monday, May 6, 2024 until the time of the funeral service, with Pastor Angel Adams officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately.
