LINDA LOU (REEVES) GREATHOUSE, 83, of Bethany, WV died peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024, at home with her loving family by her side. Born on November 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Cornelius E. “Blue” and Mary (McGuines) Reeves. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Ann Greathouse. After graduating from Wellsburg High School Linda went on to receive her Bachelor of Elementary Education and Mathematics from West Liberty State College. Her career as a teacher in the Brooke County School system led her to teach at Hooverson Heights, Franklin, and Bethany Elementary. Colonial Baptist Church in Wintersville, OH is where she and her husband James Russell worshiped every Sunday. Linda is survived by her loving husband, James Russell Greathouse at home; one daughter, Vicki and Shawn Hamilton of Bethany, WV; two grandchildren, David (Katherine) Hamilton of Wellsburg, WV, and Kathrine Hamilton of Bethany; along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Linda was held on Tuesday, May 14, 2023 and again on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 until the time of the funeral service at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Travis Mullet officiating.
