The National Association of Letter Carriers successfully hosted their annual food drive nationally on Saturday, May 11, despite inclement weather.
Despite the heavy rain, the dedicated carriers, along with the supportive Wellsburg community, ensured the event’s success. Remarkably, even PO Box holders contributed to the cause by donating bags of food.
The generosity of the Wellsburg community, particularly those residing in the 26070 zip code, was truly remarkable. Together, they donated over 2,500 pounds of non-perishable food and water supplies to the Wellsburg Salvation Army.
These donations will be promptly sorted and distributed to fulfill the immediate needs of the local community.
