The Brooke County Public Library is offering “Adventures in Journaling.” Learn the basics of visual and written journaling Tuesday, June 18, at either 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 3:30–5 p.m. This workshop for adults and young adults will briefly cover types and techniques of journaling. Then, participants will get to personalize a composition book to suit their needs. Library staff will demonstrate equipment in the Maker Space and supplies will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring any photos, magazine pages, old calendars, or other paper ephemera that they might like to include in their journals.
The program is funded by donations made in memory of Carol Churchman.
The guest facilitator will be Kirstie Perkins, Technical and Applied Studies student at Kent State University in Ohio. Her background includes graphic design, mixed media arts, and creative writing.
