John Irvin Wiseman

JOHN IRVIN WISEMAN, 88, of Wheeling, WV died peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 25, 1936, in Wellsburg, WV, a son of the late Wilbur and Rhea Catherine (Ditty) Wiseman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Elizabeth (Jones) Wiseman. John graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1954. He worked for Eagle Manufacturing as a welder, silkscreen, and pump oiler. He was Protestant by faith. John was a member of the Wellsburg Moose Lodge 1564 and Masonic Lodge #2 AF & AM for 66 years. He coached baseball for 50 years and coached Wellsburg Colts and Weir High Little Steelers, Jr. and High School. He also coached for Weir High School Bowling Team. John is survived by two children, Beth Wiseman of Hopewell, PA, and David Wiseman and Susie of Wheeling, WV; three grandchildren: David Cipoletti, William “Billy” Perkins, and Meghan (Paul) Lenstche; and two great grandchildren, Abigail Rose Perkins and Jackson David Perkins. There was no visitation. A private family gathering was held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
