INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids for the Brooke County Commission Follansbee Demolition Project will be received in the Brooke County Clerk’s Office, Brooke County Courthouse, 632 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV 26070, until August 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:30 a.m. August 6, 2024 at a regular meeting of the Brooke County Commission.
This project consists of demolition and removal of all debris and back fill at the following addresses:

10110 WV Route 2 (Brooke County EMS Station 2 – mobile home only), Follansbee, WV 26037 (leveled with top soil, seeded and strawed)
942 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037 (compacted, crushed stone #57 gravel)

This project also consists of asbestos removal, adjacent land support (retaining wall), and fencing installation at 942 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037. Contact Kimberly Barbetta, County Clerk, to schedule inspections of the properties and for a full copy of the asbestos survey at (304) 737-4024. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. All bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s license pursuant to WV Code 21-11-11. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining permits with any applicable authority. The Brooke County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
