KENNETH “JUNIOR” LOUIS SCHUPBACH, 93, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center. Kenneth was born on July 20, 1930 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Kenneth H. Schupbach and Pauline (Blieu) Schupbach. Kenneth served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War overseas receiving the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Campaign Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Merit Unit Command. He was a member of the Community of Christ, Wellsburg. Kenneth worked at Koppers and Quaker State Oil Refinery for many years. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Charlotte A. (Mack) Schupbach and a sister, Peggy Dunn. Kenneth is survived by his two children, Tammy Ann Schupbach of Weirton, WV and Kenneth “Sam” Schupbach and his wife, Lynne of Colliers, WV; two grandchildren, Ryan Schupbach and companion, Mickeal Connor of Follansbee, WV and Keli Lyn Crosco and her husband, Ryan of Oakland, MD; four great grandchildren: Abigail, Tanner, Sammy and Riley; three siblings: Edward Schupbach, Mary Alice Maloney, and Linda Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends were received on Thursday, July 18, 2024 and again on Friday, July 19, 2024 until the time of the funeral service at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Joy Leasure officiating. Interment followed at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community of Christ, C/o James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037.
