David Matthew Jackson

DAVID MATTHEW JACKSON, 49, of Weirton, WV passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 6, 1974, in Wheeling, WV, the only son of Judy (Telvock) and Gerald Jackson. David is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his first cousins and friends, Shawn Fritz and Greg Gigley. His life was, at times, complicated, but he was loved unconditionally by his family. His two sisters, Nicole and Jodi, were so happy to have a brother in their lives, and as a child he was remembered for his Jimmy Carter smile. Full of mischief and too smart for his own good, David grew up into a fantastic artist and beloved uncle of his three nephews, Avery, Eli and Brian. He would create special artwork for them every Christmas, or curate the perfect gift from his collections at home. He loved the band Phish and his lifelong dream would have been to follow them forever. If you knew David, please remember a time when he made you laugh and cherish it. Services will be held at Franklin Cemetery Chapel, Wellsburg on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
