Dolly Parton Read-Aloud Day at the Library

The Brooke County Public Library will celebrate Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Day – Dolly Day- on Friday, August 9, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the front circle by the flagpole as part of read-alouds around the state.
The Dolly Day events will feature a read-aloud of the book “I Am A Rainbow” at 11 a.m. followed by sidewalk art and games, snacks and fun!
The Imagination Library mails more than two million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to enrolled children from birth to age 5. Parton envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading and inspiring children to “Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Be More.”
