Gary D. Tennant

GARY D. TENNANT, 76, of Weirton, WV, passed Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Carriage Inn of Steubenville. He was born February 13, 1948 in Weirton. Son of the late William Harley Tennant and Bessie Smith Tennant. Gary is also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers; most recently his brother, Rick Tennant (April 2024). Gary was a US Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He also was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Gary is survived by his son, William “Bill” Tennant (Suzanne) and their daughters, Olivia and Abigail Tennant; his daughter, Amber Sargent (Shawn) and their daughter, Mackenzie Sargent; sister-in-law, Carole Lesky Tennant; the mother of his children, Yovonne Sue Isner; and several nieces and nephews. Per Gary’s wishes, there was no visitation. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Weirton. Inurnment took place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Gary’s family would like to thank the amazing staff of the Carriage Inn for their wonderful care.
