Beverly Jean Holmes

BEVERLY JEAN HOLMES, a beloved mother and woman of faith, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, at Weirton Medical Center. She was born on October 17, 1935, in Cleveland, OH, to Moses Gene and Georgia P. Harrison. Beverly was known for her quiet personality, warm heart, and dedication to her family and faith. She was a true people person and could connect with others through her gentle demeanor. She found joy in cooking and cleaning. Beverly dedicated much of her life to helping others by working in home healthcare and the Weirton Geriatric Center. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Lewis Holmes; and sister, Virginia Harrison. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Jean Howard (Keith), Lois Holmes, Diane Freeman (James), Betty Anderson, and Bonnie Brown (Charles); her sons, Jerome Anderson and Lawrence Anderson; her sister, Shirley Freeman; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who were blessed to know her love and kindness. Beverly will be remembered as the best mom, and a woman of faith who always sought to do God’s work. Visitation was held at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, on Thursday, August 22, 2024, where funeral services were also held Thursday, with Pastor Zach Adams officiating.
