Doris Jean Ryan Sperlazza

DORIS JEAN RYAN SPERLAZZA, 87, of Wellsburg, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was born February 28, 1937, in Wellsburg, WV to the late John “Pat” Raymond Ryan and Ethel Lucille Tilton Ryan. Doris loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed life and was thankful for every day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Richard Sperlazza of 65 years. She is survived by her son, Mark E. (Shari) Sperlazza; daughters, Jody. J. (Thomas) Diserio of Wellsburg, WV, and Carolyn M. ( Dan) Frio of St. Charles, IL; a brother, Gary Ryan of Cleveland,OH; grandchildren:Tommy,Daniell, Ryan, Ashley, Krista, Matt, Marie, Ryan, Marcie, Rob, Rachael, Franco, Marcus, Patrick and Dayna; great grandchildren: Maia, Maggie, Parker, Grady, Kason, Madyson, Santino, Amelia, Liam, Avery, Josephine and Rosalene; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to all of Doris’ caregivers and Valley hospice for all the exceptional love and care that they gave her. Visitation was held Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated Monday, August 19, 2024, with Father Justin Golna as Celebrant at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg. Interment was at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg.
