Deloris J. Kelley

DELORIS J. KELLEY, 88, of Weirton, WV, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born October 14, 1935 in Elk Lick, WV, daughter of the late Artsel Underwood and Matha Morgan Swiger. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Arloff Underwood and Charles Underwood; sisters, Joann Swiger and Imogene King. Deloris was owner and operator of Style Beauty Salon in Weirton, which she started in the early 1960s above Isaly’s before moving to other locations in downtown Weirton. Deloris was a member of First Christian Church. She was also a member of the former Weirton Chapter No. 147 Order of the Eastern Star, and Star of the Valley Rebekah Lodge No. 73. Deloris is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Garner D. “Hoot” Kelley; daughter, Janet Ford (James) of Follansbee, WV; son, Chris Kelley (Jean) of Jenison, MI; grandchildren, Brian Zimmerman (Tina), Scott Zimmerman (Lori), Neal Ford (Cassie), Evan Ford (Lisa), Christopher Kelley (Cheryl), Ryan Kelley (Tabitha), Jeremy Kelley (Michelle), and Samantha Horvath; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Carroll of Weirton. Visitation was held Monday, August 26, 2024 at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton. Additional visitation was held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 until the time of the service, with Pastor Mark Mayer and Pastor Bill Stout presiding. Interment followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
