TEDDY LEE CLINE, 83, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Coshocton Regional Medical Center, Coshocton, OH. Teddy was born on April 18, 1941 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Martin T. Cline and Evelyn M. (DeGarmo) Cline. Teddy grew up in the Boy Scouts and received the noble rank and designation of Eagle Scout. He was a proud graduate of Wellsburg High School Class of 1959. Upon graduation he enlisted and served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge with several medals including tank weapon, rifle, bayonet and pistol. Teddy retired after 40 years of service as a Clerk at Weirton Steel Corporation and was a member of their 25-year Club. Many will remember Teddy for his collection of Lionel Trains and his enjoyment of nature walks and sitting breathing in the clear air of the forest. Teddy is survived by his brother, Wayne Cline and his wife, Ruth of Wellsburg, WV; a nephew, Dr. Alan Cline and his wife, Lara of Wheeling, WV; and a great niece, Lucille. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of th funeral service at 1 p.m. at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Reverend Mary Jane Knapp, officiating and Military Honors being rendered by the WV Army National Guard. Interment will be held privately at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, where he will be laid to rest with his parents.
