GLORIA JOYCE PRAMESA, 84, a cherished soul of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on September 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at Allegheny Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born to Thearl (Red) and Helen Sperringer on November 13, 1939, Gloria’s journey was one of love, care, and a deep connection to the simple joys of life. Despite the loss of her parents, her former husband and lifelong friend John “Jocko” Pramesa, and her brothers Robert “Bobby” and Dale, Gloria’s spirit remained unbroken. A proud graduate of Bethany High School, Gloria contributed to her community through her work in the family run B.C. Groceries and Tri Area Amusement. Gloria loved being with family and enjoyed being a caregiver for her twenty-seven nieces and nephews whenever she could. She loved the outdoors; her cats and dog, Copper; watching clouds and birds; and she especially loved watching her soap operas “her stories” over endless cups of coffee, always offering a cup. Gloria was a beacon of love and generosity, especially to her children, Jeff and Suzette; her grandchildren: Justin, Chelsey and Dakota; and great-grandchildren; Gianna, Jaelyn, Ric’hel, Kehlanni, Kaliyah who were the light of her life. Left to honor Gloria’s memory are her brothers, Terance “Terry” Sperringer of Cannonsburg, PA, and Richard Sperringer of Florida; her sisters, Sylvia (Wayne) Taylor of Wellsburg, WV and Patricia Sauvageot of Follansbee, WV; her adored children, Jeffrey (Julie) Pramesa and Jacquelynn “Suzette” (Rodney) Huggins; her treasured grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives who felt her love deeply. A visitation was held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 until her funeral service, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Joy Leasure officiating. A devout Catholic, Gloria was privately inurned at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery. Donations can be made to Mullenbach Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
