Helen “Honey” (Eiben) Hedmond

HELEN “HONEY” (EIBEN) HEDMOND, 80, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Golden Oaks Personal Care Facility in Follansbee. She was born on July 1, 1944, in Washington, PA a daughter of the late Albert and Delores (Hildreth) Eiben. In addition to her parents, Honey is preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Michael and John Jack Hedmond; one granddaughter, Brittany Hedmond; and her brother, Butch Eiben. Honey attended Wellsburg High School and was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was the former owner operator of Honeys Florist in Follansbee. She had a great passion for decorating along with doing arts and crafts and had a good eye for interior design and finding antiques. Honey enjoyed taking care of her family and being the best Muckama to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Honey is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Hedmond at home; two daughters, Sherri Byers of Follansbee, WV and Terri Eltringham of Fort Myers, FL; Gabriel Hedmond of Follansbee; six grandchildren: Mikayla Hedmond, Alissa Loebig, Emily Byers, Rylee Hedmond Barry, Nicklaus Eltringham, and Jaclin Hedmond; three great grandchildren, Lazaro, Cristiano, and Adalina; and her two favorite cousins, Johnny Tom Kosarik and James Frank “Timmy” Korsarik. Visitation was held on Sunday, October 13, 2024 and again on Monday, October 14, 2024 until the time of the Funeral Liturgy of the Word, with Father Gerald Mouka officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family would like to thank the D.C.I. Dialysis Center in Wintersville and Golden Oaks Residential Board and Care for the care Honey received.
