Michael Keith Pruett

MICHAEL KEITH PRUETT, 56, of Wheeling, WV, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Ohio State University – Wexner Campus, Columbus, OH. Michael was born on July 3, 1968 in South Bend, IN. He was the son of Emma Jean Marie (Grim) Pruett of Florida and the late Maxie Lee Pruett. Michael’s remarkable legacy shines bright, reflecting his vibrant personality and tireless work ethic as a Truck Driver and Manager, surely many other jobs too. His humor and compassion touched countless lives. As a music aficionado, he found solace in Pink Floyd’s timeless melodies, and his Dallas Cowboys fandom brought unbridled joy. Simple pleasures like fried chicken and the company of cats brought him delight, while his youthful adventures in hunting and fishing left lasting impressions. He was one of a kind in all aspects. In addition to his father, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie. In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his children: Jessy Morales of Pittsburgh, PA and Savana Pruett and her boyfriend, Josh Kelly of St. Clairsville, OH; two grandchildren, Zekai Villanova and Zailynn McCauley; five siblings: John, Darla, Vicki, Connie and Tony; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Thursday, October 17, 2024 until the time of the funeral service, at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Eric L. Fithyan, Funeral Celebrant.
