ROBERT WILLIAM “BOBBY” MARSHALL, 67, of Weirton, WV, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Allegheny General Hospital, after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Born on July 21, 1957, in Weirton, he was one of three sons of the late James and June (Campbell) Marshall. A member of the Brooke High School Class of 1975, Bobby devoted himself to his work at Weirton Steel, where he spent 30 years as a rigger and later as a Crane Inspector before retiring. His work ethic didn’t end there; he went on to serve as a meter reader for First Energy Corporation for eight more years. Known for his handyman skills, Bobby could often be found tinkering in his garage, which doubled as his beloved man cave. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family, and his generosity knew no bounds. An animal lover at heart, he shared a special bond with his two cats, Thor and Loki, and his dog, Neko. Bobby was a member of the A.B.A.T.E and took great joy in riding his Shovelhead. Recently, he was a prospective member of the Cedar Lodge. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his two brothers, George and Jim Marshall, and his favorite dog, Neko. Bobby is remembered with love and admiration by his daughter, Alex Maguire, her husband, Lance, and their daughter, Sofia Catherine Maguire; his fiancée, Anne DiMaggio, and her daughter, Dr. Beth Anne Roberts, along with her husband, Jared, and their children, Lilianna Grace, Ariella Marlayna, and Marco Joseph Roberts; and his sister-in-law, Rose Marshall. Family and friends are invited on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2-5 p.m., at Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, to pay tribute to Bob’s remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the Hancock County Humane Foundation. Share tributes at www.grecohertnick.com.
