The Hancock and Brooke Young Professionals (HBYP) are excited to announce the next event in their 2024 Speaker Series, Forging Our Future, designed to empower young professionals in the area. This month, HBYP is honored to welcome Dr. Amanda White, a successful business owner, speaker, and advocate with over 15 years of experience in mental health and leadership. Dr. White will present on “Workplace Wellness: Don’t Tell Me to Just Breathe”, providing strategies to manage burnout, compassion fatigue, and workplace stress.
The event will be held Monday, Nov. 18, at 5:30 p.m., at the Top of WV CVB, located at 243 Three Springs Drive, Suite 17, Weirton. Dr. White will explore effective wellness practices and share insights into prioritizing mental health, an area she’s deeply passionate about and well-versed in through her extensive research and professional experience.
Dr. White recently completed her Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling-Traumatology from Liberty University, where her research focused on the impact of abusive supervision and workplace trauma, particularly within the mental health field. Her unique expertise promises to offer attendees actionable strategies for creating healthier and more resilient workplaces.
Tickets are available for $15, with free admission for HBYP members. Registration is open now at tinyurl.com/hbyp-speaker5.
