William Marino

WILLIAM MARINO, 83, of Cross Creek Road, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Wyngate, Weirton, WV under the care of the staff with the assistance of Valley Hospice. Bill was born on October 27, 1941 in Weirton, WV. He was the son of the late Basilio Marino and Marie (Klorczyk) Marino. Bill was a graduate of Follansbee High School. He retired after 30 years of service from Weirton Steel as a Motor Inspector in the Strip Steel Department. Bill was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. Many will remember Bill for his love of rifle and bow hunting of deer, fishing with his buddies Randy and Jeff Nicholas and going every summer to Canada with his wife for fishing while he enjoyed her cooking of wild game; but most of all, for his caring nature of helping everyone. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Sole. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mildred Theresa (Dailey) Marino, married on February 13, 1971; two beloved dogs, Wooffy and Picky; a sister-in-law, Patricia McLain; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family would like to give special thanks for their love and care, cousins, Dolly and Chuck Zatta and Karen and Steve Martin; neighbors, Bob Cline and Otha and Phyllis Hoberek; and his dear nephew, who was always with Theresa by Bill’s side, Joe Brynza. Family and friends were received on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4–8 p.m., at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, where funeral will commence on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, with Father Gerald Muoka presiding.
