Susan Paula Kurcina

SUSAN PAULA KURCINA, 71, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Trinity West in Steubenville, OH with her family by her side. She was born on August 30, 1953, in Follansbee, WV a daughter of the late Stephen Paul and Eleanor “Norie” (DeAngelis) Kurcina. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her furry companion Molly. Susan was a graduate of Weirton Madonna class of 1971 and went on to attend the College of Steubenville. She worked for Weirton Medical center for 37 years as a phlebotomist. She was a devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. In all her spare time she loved to watch NCIS, play solitaire and mahjongg, and organized all the get togethers for the Madonna class of 1971. Susan is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Reinacher and husband Robert, and Stephanie Kurcina all of Follansbee, WV; two nephews, William (Shelley) Reinacher and Joseph (Brandi) Reinacher; two great nieces and one great nephew; numerous cousins; and two best friends, Deb Witkowski and Georgia Jonczak. Friends were received on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 10 a.m., with Emmanuel Nwosu officiating, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee. Memorial contributions may be made to Weirton Madonna High School, 150 Michael Way, Weirton, WV 26062 or St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
