Cheri Lee Gryskevich, D.O.

CHERI LEE GRYSKEVICH, D.O., 54, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully, at the Weirton Medical Center on December 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and selfless service. Born on August 2, 1970, in Steubenville, OH, she was the firstborn of John Luke Gryskevich and Paula Marie Tomaszczyk Gryskevich. A graduate of Weirton Madonna High School, Class of 1988, Cheri pursued her passion for science and helping others by earning a degree in Biochemistry from Bethany College. She continued her educational journey at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV, where she earned her medical degree, fulfilling her dream of becoming a physician. Cheri had a heart of gold and a spirit that radiated warmth and generosity. She was a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross and the Family Resource Center in Weirton, offering her time and skills to improve the lives of those around her. She was an advocate for health and fitness, an enthusiast for fashion, and had a natural talent for bringing joy to others through her vibrant personality. Cheri adored her family, especially her two brothers, Michael (Kristen) and Matthew (Anna) Gryskevich, and her beloved nephews, Parker, Caden, Johnny and Luka. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Paula Gryskevich. Cheri will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched including her brothers Michael (Kristen) Gryskevich and Matthew (Anna) Gryskevich; and her nephews, Parker, Caden, Johnny, and Luka Gryskevich Private visitation was held for her immediate family at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, prior to cremation. A celebration of Cheri’s life will be held at a later date.
