Empowerment Self Defense Worskshop

Come along and learn practical self-defense techniques and build confidence at the Brooke County Public Library. The Upper Ohio Valley Sexual Assault Help Center, Inc. will be providing Empowerment Self Defense Workshops. Part 1 of the workshop will be help on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 5–7 p.m. and part 2 will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 5–7 p.m.
The classes will be instructed by Ashley Carpenter, Executive Director, SAHC and Teresa Richmond, First degree black belt Krav Maga, level three certified instructor. There are no limits on age, abilities, or gender. All are welcome! Wear comfortable clothing and bring some water! Registration is required due to limited openings. Register at brookecountylibs.org/events or by calling 304.737.1551. Registration closes after part 1 or at max capacity. The class is supported by the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley.
