FRANCES C. DANKOVCHIK, 91, of Weirton, WV, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on January 11, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on September 24, 1933, in Weirton, WV, one of six children born to Frank and Pasquelina (Rotell) Pulice. Frances was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Steubenville, OH, and a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. On September 7, 1957, she married Robert Dankovchik, and together they built a loving life filled with devotion to family, faith, and hard work. Robert worked as a quality control foreman at Weirton Steel, while Frances spent over 20 years working as a medical secretary, first for Dr. Dominic Brancazio and later for Dr. Frank L. Petrola. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Kristopher Michael Dankovchik, and her five brothers: Robert, John, Dominic, Joseph, and William Pulice. She will be remembered with love and admiration by her husband, Robert; her two sons, Robert (Pam) Dankovchik and Dan (Laurie) Dankovchik her grandchildren, Lauren Dankovchik, Alexis (Nick) Laibach, and Lucas (Gracen) Dankovchik, as well as her great-grandchildren, Olivia Shetler, Maylee, and Mia Laibach, Vivian Dankovchik, Michael Burkley; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 until the time of the funeral liturgy of the Word, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, with Fr. Tony Thurston presiding.
