Margaret Cain Cato Craft

MARGARET CAIN CATO CRAFT, 78, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at Valley Hospice in Steubenville, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 27, 1946, at Weirton General Hospital, Margaret was the daughter of the late James and Ida Hicks Cain of Weirton, a place she called home throughout her life. In Margaret’s early years, she graduated from Weir High School and then moved on to attend West Liberty University, where she cultivated a strong work ethic and a dedication to excellence. Margaret’s career at Weirton Steel was a testament to her determination and leadership. She held a position as a foreman in the tin mill. Above all, Margaret cherished her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She found immense joy in her family. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Larry Russell Cain. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Harold Craft; her devoted children, Gary Russell Cain and Nicole Renee Cato of Weirton, West Virginia; her brother, Pete (Denise) Cain of Wintersville, Ohio; her sister, Rose Cain; and her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Cato and Kristin (Alex) Truax, Andre Sims, Shyla Jenkins, Nadia Riel, Amber Cain, and Brandon May, and her beloved great-grandchildren. Margaret has chosen to donate her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry, contributing to the advancement of medical education and research. There were no formal services.
