RAY PAUL NICOLOAN, 64, of Wellsburg WV died peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025 with his family by his side. Born on February 21, 1960 in Sculthorpe England, a son of the late Lenin Samuel and Doris Marie Brinson Nicoloan. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lee Nicoloan; paternal grandfather, Solomon Nicoloan; paternal grandmother, Irma Schubert Nicoloan Couch; step-grandfather, George K. Couch; and his father-in-law, Evan David Rees, Jr. Ray graduated from Brooke High School Class of 1979. He worked in sales at Weirton Lumber Company for many years. Ray was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Follansbee WV. Family was the most important thing to Ray. He loved his wife and daughter with his whole heart and Ray took great care to ensure they were taken care of before he passed. Ray was also a member of West Liberty Masonic Lodge # 26 A F & A M, Osiris Shrine, and the Northern Panhandle Shrine Club. He was also a member of G.O.A.L. (Giving Ourselves Amazing Lives) in Weirton, WV. Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Mary Dianna Rees Nicoloan; one daughter, Cara Ann Nicoloan of Pittsburgh PA; his sister, Donna Marie (Hiram) Perez of Elliott City, MD; mother-in-law, Carolyn A. Rees of Windsor Heights WV; sister-in-law, Michelle (Randy) Olenick of Weirton, WV; brother-in-law, Jeff Rees of Windsor Heights, WV; brother-in-law, Dave (Kim) Rees of Weirton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and many close and special friends, especially his life-long friend Jeff Miller; and last but not least, his devoted furry friend Daisy. The family would like to the thank his medical doctors, Dr. Dan Zandberg and his assistant Leah Rosenbaum, Dr Christopher Wilke, Dr. Shaum Sridharan, Dr. Matthew Spector of the Hillman Cancer Center, Dr. David Brodland of Zitelli and Brodland, The transplant team at the Cleveland Clinic, his family doctor, Dr. Brian Burke, Darla and Sandy his nurses from Valley Hospice, and all who prayed and continue to pray for Ray and his family through these difficult times. Visitation will be held until the time of the memorial mass at 10 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with Rev. Father Gerald Muoka as celebrant.
