ERNEST NOAH BROTHERS, 71, of Follansbee, WV, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at his residence. Ernie was born on February 4, 1953 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Clinton and Frances (Thompson) Brothers. Ernie worked at Ball Corporation in Weirton, WV for 27 years. He attended The Foundery Church, Wellsburg, WV. Many will remember Ernie for his love of fishing. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his first wife, Shelia (Barnhart) Brothers; second wife, Eileen Mae “Sis” (Nelson) Brothers; a son, Adam Clinton Brothers; and a brother, John Brothers. Ernie is survived by his daughter, Marissa “Missy” Ely and her husband, Ronnie of Steubenville, OH; two siblings, Barbara Lynn Zak and her husband, Raymond of Colliers, WV and Clinton “Leigh” Brothers of Follansbee, WV; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Friday, January 31, 2025 until the time of the funeral service, at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Bobby Westfall officiating. Private interment was held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee. The family would like to thank Debi Vukelic and Aaron Heldreth for their love, care and support of Ernie through the years.
