ISABELLE MAXINE PAINTER, 93, of Beech Bottom, WV died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, February 7, 2025, at her daughters home in Colliers, WV. Born on August 1, 1931, in Triadelphia, WV a daughter of the late John and Anna (Schaner) Hohman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husand, Russell Painter; her son-in-law, Jim Truex; two brothers, Harry and John Hohman; five sisters, Ruth Pickens, Mary Sheperd, Loretta Diamond, Dolores Boone, and Dorothy Griffith; and her beloved dog, Andy. Isabelle graduated from Triadelphia High School in 1949. She owned and operated Isabelle’s Beauty Shop in Short Creek, WV for many years. Isabelle was a lifelong member of the Beech Bottom Community Christian Church and was a member of the Brooke County A.A.R.P. She is survived by five devoted children: Linda (Richard) Mueleners of Atlanta, GA, Carol (Darrell) Bennett of Sparks, NV, Deborah Truex of Colliers, WV, Joyce Painter of Beech Bottom, WV, and Russell Painter, III of Virginia Beach, VA; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, where funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Daniel Harry officiating. Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom.
