NEDRA J. LOWE, 78, died peacefully in Bend, Oregon on January 23, 2025. She was born on Nov. 24, 1946, in Steubenville, Ohio and grew up in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of Frank and Margaret Molnar Kotch, both deceased. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1964. She then graduated with a bachelor’s degree from West Liberty State College (now WLU) and got her master’s degree from Marshall University. She taught oral and written communications at Mountwest Community and Technical College in Huntington, WV part time for four years and full time for 32 years. She retired in 2012. She was a member of Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church in Huntington, WV. She recently had moved from Huntington, WV to Bend, Oregon to be near her son’s family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John and son, John Robert Lowe and his wife, Amy; three grandsons, Zach, Sam, and Ben; her sister, Mary Kay Haas and brother-in-law, Bob Haas; nephew, Frank Haas; nieces, Lori Johnson and Marla Hanlon; great nephews, Lance and Eric Johnson, and Bryan Hanlon; great nieces, Heather Johnson, Raeann Hanlon, Megan Perrin, and Hannah Hanlon; and members of the Beloveds Book Group.
