FRANCIS J. RIDDILE, 81, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Valley Hospice in Steubenville, OH. He was born on February 28, 1943 in King Creek, WV a son of the late Floyd and Ann (Fotovick) Riddile. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen (Pozniko) Riddle; brother, Leroy Riddile; and sister, Shirley Ann Mays. Francis Graduated from Burgettstown High School class of 1962. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Coast Guard for 20 years until retirement in 1982. After retiring he worked for the Department of Defense as a civilian for an additional 15 years. He was Catholic by faith and was a proud member of the American Legion post 698 Burgettstown, PA. Surviving are his two sisters, Jean Gardner and Betty Hopper, both of Clover, SC; two brothers, John Riddile of Panama City FL and Richard Riddile of New Manchester, WV; brother-in-law, Kevin (Jackie) Mays of Avella, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Per Francis’s wishes, there were no services held. All arrangements were entrusted to Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
