Carolann Esther (Black) Headman

CAROLANN ESTHER (BLACK) HEADMAN, 80, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Trinity Medical Center West with her husband and grandsons by her side. Born August 29, 1944, in Imperial, PA a daughter of the late Edward D. and Caroline J. (Parko) Black. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Linda Lee (Black) Cipranic, and one brother, Edward D. Black, Jr. Carolann graduated from Burgettstown High School in 1962 and then got certified as a laboratory assistant through the training program at Trinity Medical Center West. She worked for many years as a laboratory technician at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Wheeling Garden Club at Oglebay. Carolann is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Louis Charles Headman; her devoted daughter, Joyce Roupe and husband Marion Mull of Burgettstown, PA; three grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Roupe, Charles and Hannah Roupe, and Trevor and Shane Roupe; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacob, and Ruby; her sister-in-law, Rebecca Headman; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, with a vigil service following at the funeral home. A Catholic funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Gerald Muoka as celebrant. Interment followed in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee.
