Robert Carr Sult, Jr.

ROBERT CARR SULT, JR., 84, of Wellsburg, WV, died peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Ann’s Country Retreat. Born October 14, 1940, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Robert Carr and Mary Frances (Kirchner) Sult, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Cindy (Sult) Dixon and his brother-in-law, Jack Milewsky. Bob graduated from Gauley Bridge High School and the WV Institute of Technology. He sold underground mining equipment with several companies for many years. Bob enjoyed a lifetime at “Camp” all while hunting, fishing, and relaxing with his best friends, especially his lifelong friends, Scott Harless and John Mooney. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Wellsburg Elks Lodge, and the Loyal Order of Moose all in Wellsburg, WV. Surviving is his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Deanne (Milewsky) Sult; two daughters, Patricia (Sult) Daniels and Mary Beth (Sult) Meador and husband Ed; three brothers, Bill (Susan) Sult, Donald (Shirley) Sult, and David (Melanie) Sult; two brothers-in-law, Gary (Kathy) Milewsky and Bill Milewsky; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy Caswell, Susie (Mike) Visnic; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his great friend through the Elks Lodge, Walter Palmer. A Celebration of Life funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, with The Rev. Father Justin Golna as celebrant. Inurnment will be held privately in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
