United Way March Madness Returns

The excitement of March Madness isn’t just for basketball fans—it’s also a game-changing opportunity to support our community. The 5th Annual Match Madness fundraiser kicks off on March 1st, and thanks to a generous commitment from Berger and Green, every donation made to the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley during March will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000.
This year’s campaign brings an exciting twist! Anyone who donates between March 1st and March 15th will be entered onto the Match Madness bracket, earning a chance to win four tickets to a Wheeling Nailers game of their choice. The lucky winner will be drawn on March 16th.
“We were thrilled to welcome so many new donors through Match Madness last year,” said Staci Stephen, Executive Director of United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley. “This campaign is a win-win—it doubles the impact of every donation while giving our supporters a fun incentive. We’re incredibly grateful to Berger and Green for their generosity and commitment to our community.”
This year’s Annual Campaign, “Raised Here. Stays Here.”, highlights the importance of local giving. Every dollar raised supports over 30 programs that provide vital assistance to individuals and families across Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, and Belmont counties. Beyond funding programs, the United Way plays a key role in advocating for nonprofits, encouraging philanthropy, and fostering volunteerism in the Ohio Valley.
Managing Partner at Berger and Green, Amanda Bonnesen said, “At Berger and Green, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. We’re proud to support the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley’s matching campaign this March, helping to make an even greater impact for those in need.”
