Earl “Bucky” Wendt

EARL “BUCKY” WENDT, 90, of Follansbee, WV passed away March 6, 2025, at home. Bucky was born August 18, 1934, in Follansbee, WV to the late Fred and Dorothy Swartz Wendt. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a millwright, was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Follansbee, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Meribelle, and JoAnn Wendt. He is survived by his two loving children, Jerry E. Wendt and Debra of Paola, Kansas, and Alice and David Hubbell of Emerson, GA; sister, Darlene Kemp, and nephew Kory McKenney, both of Follansbee, WV; and niece, Krystal McKenney. Visitation was held Monday, March 10, 2025, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee.
