Mary Lee Pellegrino

MARY LEE PELLEGRINO, 84, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Weirton Medical Center. Born December 11, 1940 in Follansbee, WV a daughter of the late Levi Burl and Anna Elizabeth (Boniey) Postlethwait In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Italo Anthony “Tom” Pellegrino. Mary Lee graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School 1958. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a devoted homemaker. Shopping and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her life. Mary Lee is survived by three devoted children: Samuel Anthony “Chip” Pellegrino and wife, Susan of Follansbee, WV, Timothy Pellegrino and wife, Sherry of Pittsburgh, PA, and Nicole “Nikki” Thomaselli and husband, Michael of Follansbee; one brother, Butch Postlethwait and wife, Ginger of Boynton Beach, FL; a sister, Betty Tacozza of Follansbee; sister-in-law, Velma Pellegrino of Weirton, WV; six grandchildren: Jamie Pellegrino and companion, Dean Coburn, Tony (Kearsten) Pellegrino, Gabrielle (Justin) Riggs, Katie Pellegrino, Jenna Floyd, and Ashley Pellegrino; five great-grandchildren: Stella, Daxton, Matthew, Julianna, and Mackenzie; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. A vigil service was also held on Thursday at the funeral home. A Catholic Funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, with the Rev. Father Gerald Muoka as celebrant. Interment followed Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the WVU Children’s Hospital for Childhood Cancer Research that can be mailed to Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV.
