MARGARET “MARGIE” ELIZABETH SLASOR, 93, of Fayetteville, AR, formerly of Weirton, WV, passed Monday, March 10, 2025 at Katherine’s Place, Fayetteville, AR. She was born January 21, 1932 in Ben’s Run, WV, daughter of the late Alton and Eunice Miller Gardner. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Russell E. Slasor (2021); sons-in-law, Don and Terry; and three sisters. Margie was a very godly and faithful woman who was a member of Weirton Heights Church of Christ and Mount Comfort Church of Christ. Margie is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Rose Casey and Sue Ellen Winn (Keith); grandchildren, Victoria, Angela, Benjamin (Allison), and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Catilynn, Hunter, Brannon, Levi, and Hudson; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends in the Ohio Valley as well as in Montana and Arkansas. Visitation was held Monday, March 17, 2025 until the time of the funeral service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton, with Evangelist Mike Phillips presiding. Entombment followed at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee. Margie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. John’s in Billings and the staff at Katherine’s Place in Fayetteville, who loved Margie like a grandmother – and who she loved right back!
