Daniel Aulton Nicholson

DANIEL AULTON NICHOLSON, 83, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at WVU Ruby Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born May 13, 1941 in West Liberty, WV a son of the late George W. and Jane (Goff) Nicholson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his seven brothers, Ed, John, Jack, Henry, Joseph, Roy, an Ralph Nicholson, and two sisters, Willetta Forrester, and Betty Claypool. Daniel worked for M. Marsh and son as a mechanic. He loved being a mechanic, when not doing that he could be found down at the water with a fishing pole in his hand. He was a free spirited person who loved his family, known as “Uncle” Dan to everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving companion, Tracy Arnold at home; one sister, Rebecca Cain of Weirton, WV; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Monday March 24, 2025 until the time of funeral services, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor James Seabright officiating. Interment followed in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses. Condolences may be left at www.mullenbachfh.com.
