KAREN LYNN (CHAPPELL) GELDER, 75, of Follansbee, WV, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, OH. Karen was born on February 22, 1950 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Edward Chappell and Bernice Marie (Deuley) Chappell. Karen worked for 45 years in customer service in the jewelry and shoe departments as a Manager at Sears, Steubenville, OH. Many will remember Karen for her love of sewing and string art. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her son, Brett Edward Gelder. Karen is survived by her son, Brandon Gelder, two sisters, Dorothy Scheetz and Darlene Gerrard and several nieces and nephews.
