VITTORIA (VICKY) PICCININI STAFFILENO, beloved wife, mother, Nonna, and Zia, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by the love and grace of her family. Born on March 21, 1929, in Giulianova, Italy, Vicky carried the love of her homeland in her heart throughout her life. On April 28, 1956, she married the love of her life, Dominic Staffileno. They immigrated to the United States in 1958, bringing with them a spirit of resilience and a deep devotion to family and tradition. Vicky is survived by her loving husband, Dominic; her children, Joseph (Bridget) Staffileno and Mary Louise (Steve) Camilletti; and her grandchildren, Steven (Alison) Staffileno and Taylor Staffileno (David Vaughn). She was deeply proud of her family and showered them with love, warmth, and unforgettable meals. She is also remembered fondly by her brother and several nieces and nephews in Italy. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, who remained in Italy, and several other extended family members. Vicky was known far and wide for her extraordinary cooking and baking. Her specialties included gnocchi, orange spaghetti, Croccante (almond brittle), crispelles, cream puffs, and pizzelles. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where stories were shared, memories were made, and everyone left feeling full. Vicky had a heart for children and spent 25 years working at Wellsburg Primary East School, where her kindness and gentle soul touched countless young lives. Above all, Vicky was a woman of deep love for her family, her Catholic faith, her Italian heritage, and her passion for cooking and traveling. Her legacy lives on in the meals that were shared, the values she instilled, and the love she poured into every moment. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. A private celebration of life was held.
