Sarah Ann Smith

SARAH ANN SMITH, 41, of Wellsburg, WV entered into heaven peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at W.V.U. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born August 11, 1983 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of Wayne and Susan (Virden) Smith of Wellsburg, WV. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roy, J. and Eileen Mildred (Newton) Smith and maternal grandparents, Norman Virden, Sr. and Helen Virden; her uncles, Charles Smith and Will Louthen; and her aunt, Elizabeth Rose Smith. Sarah graduated from Brooke High School in 2002. She attended Brooke County Opportunity Center for several years. She was strong in faith as a Christian. In her spare time she loved to camp and fish with family and friends and loved to celebrate Christmas and shop for family leading up to Christmas. Sarah spent many hours listening to country music. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three siblings: Jason (Kassi) Smith, Becky Smith, and Aaron (Theresa) Smith; six nieces and nephews: Walker, Shyanne (Charlie), and Dalton Smith, Rachel (Chase) Parker, Christophe (Desiree) Miller, and Alleigh (Jacob) Huntsminger; two great nieces and nephews, Samaya, Camden, and one on the way; aunts and uncles: Dora Louthen, Judy (Stanley) Black, Marsha Virden (Jim Vancamp), Debbie Virden, and Norman Virden, Jr.; her best friends, B.J. Griffin and Flo Parello; and several cousins. Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 until the until time of funeral services, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Lori Williams officiating. Interment followed in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Wellsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mullenbach Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
